Dr. Malgorzata Firczuk (h-index 27, 3047 citations) is an Associate Professor at the Mossakowski Medical Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland. She has expertise in biochemistry, oncology, hematology, and immunology. Since 2016, she has led a research group focused on hemato-oncology and immunotherapy.
Her research is focused on advancing and developing innovative immunotherapies, including monoclonal antibodies and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) modified T cell therapies, as well as optimizing combination treatments. Her research is also dedicated to identifying novel biomarkers that could be used to assess the efficacy and safety of CAR-T cell treatments.
Additionally, Dr. Firczuk is engaged in developing artificial T cells as a safer, more cost-effective, off-the-shelf alternative to current CAR-T cell therapies. Through basic research and translational projects, Dr. Firczuk collaborates closely with clinical departments to develop novel, tailored therapies for hematological malignancies.
